The youth hostels of Wales: YHA Pwll Deri

Many will be familiar with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which has been in existence for many years and is served by a chain of youth hostels including YHA Pwll Deri, pictured above. This wonderfully situated cliff top hostel has benefitted from major refurbishment projects in recent years. Always worth a visit, the coast path is especially splendid in spring when the wild flowers which are a particular feature of the area are at their best.
YHA Pwll Deri is open from 1 April 2012.

New Wales Coast Path set to open

A major event taking place in Wales in 2012 is the opening of the Wales Coast Path. This 870 mile path will will extend over the full length of the Welsh coast, making Wales the first country in the world to have a continuous path around its shores. In addition to the long established Pembrokeshire Coast Path, in more recent times paths have been developed around Anglesey and on the Ceredigion Coast. Now the final pieces of the jigsaw are being put into place with a view to an official opening of the complete all Wales coast path on 5 May 2012.
